yay more toys
I am not sold on all of these features and functionality that Apple has been pushing. I require only a very basic feature set for my computing needs.
This was the first year that I completely forgot about MacWorld.
As such, the company is now known as "Apple Inc." instead of "Apple Computer."
It was changed in the last 24 hours.
Finally Apple admits that they don't make computers anymore.
Um, no, that's not what that means.
Go away. I am misrepresenting.
Saw this on another board.
Damn, that is so true. That image articulates a disgust that I have been feeling for a long time.
People lining up at stores the day before? Disgusting. What is this a game console?
Why, yes... It very well could turn into one...
Phone, Camera, Computer, Personal Organizer, Video Player, MP3 Player, and (with the right software written for it) a hand-held gaming console...
I would have gotten one except that I'm not on AT&T/Cingular. I hate my phone. There were lines still at both the Apple store and the AT&T store in the mall we went to last night to see Live Free or Die Hard at 7:00.
I have to wait until Thanksgiving so I can get out of my contract with Verizon. I heard someone say it would be a $6k investment by the end of two years because of all the extras you have to pay for each month, but I don't know if that's correct.
Well, you know that the phone will be one price, e-mail another, sending text/pics a third, and web access a fourth...
I seriously doubt the plans cost an additional $225 a month (6k - 600 for the phone) over two years. If the added costs are even remoteley true, there must be a lot of software you can buy for it that doesn't come preloaded.
Looking at the ATT web site and their plans, they seem very reasonable to me.
With similar features, if you buy the Samsung Blackjack with 900 minutes and unlimited data, it's almost $100 a month.
chick tries to buy out the store and fails
Stupid people are funny. (sometimes)
iPhone prices on ebay seem really low margin anyways. The reseller angle doesn't seem to be very good on these. With all of the hype I am guessing Apple took measures to address the supply issue.
What is this I hear about the iPhone not having a user-replaceable battery? I thought they learned their lesson with the original iPods. Or maybe I heard wrong.
